Personally, Shannon maintains the bi-directional nature of her physical & mental health with Trauma-Informed Integrative Mental Health practices. By training and applying Integrative Mental Health root-cause modalities she uncovered the root-causes of 14 different physical and mental health conditions (and is now off 14 medications), including autoimmunity (Celiac, Hashimoto’s/Hypothyroidism), addiction, cancer, endometriosis, an environmental mold illness, SIBO, IBS, C-PTSD, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorder, PTSD, POTS, MCAS, etc. Once the root-causes were addressed (childhood trauma, limbic system dysregulation, environmental conditions), she awakened & embraced her Inner Healer. To her, “healing” means that she is no longer is attached to labels or a diagnosis and lives life fully with ultimate life acceptance to maintain vitality through the same Integrative Mental Health holistic tools she teaches to her coaching clients. Healing beyond labels exists. There is an essence of you that remains whole, perfectly imperfect, and is exactly what you are seeking–your Self! In our work together, I will re-introduce you to your own Inner Healer!

Shannon operates a niche coaching & consultancy practice called Shannon Myers Consulting LLC and The Integrative Counselor LLC. Shannon has had a private practice since 2011 and established one of the first virtual coaching practices in the U.S. She has worked with individuals, families, groups, and organizations across the world.

While Shannon is a Counselor, she works as a Trauma-Informed coach, mentor, educator, and consultant. Shannon uses a creative blend of holistic healing, integrative health (mind, body, spirit, and energy), and bridges the traditional medical model to all other evidence-based integrative healing modalities. Everything can & does heal once we integrate all aspects of ourselves into wholeness. There is a paradigm shift in healthcare and mental health and it includes the client in the driver’s seat, surrounded by a healing village, healing in safe collaboration & co-regulation.

All of Shannon’s work is Trauma-Informed, Healing Centered, Disability Inclusive, Culturally Competent, Somatic/Body-Based, LGBTQIA2+ affirming, Kink and Poly Friendly, operated from a Harm Reduction Model, and evidence-based.

Clients that are good fits are those who are ready to get off the traditional medical model merry-go-round, ready to dig into root causes, eager to learn, willing to do the internal work to self-heal, and are open to alternative, holistic, somatic body-based practices, & integrative tools. They know that they are not responsible for their wounds and are ready to investigate all aspects of their mental, physical, spiritual, & energetic health.
